policeman-23796_1280While much of the focus given to the Internet of Things lately is centered on connected consumer products, innovation is also happening at a rapid pace in industrial and enterprise applications — including public safety.  From police body cameras and license plate readers, to high-tech connected medical equipment in ambulances, to sensors monitoring road conditions, bridge integrity and other critical infractructure elements — the IoT is expanding rapidly amongst those within our societies who are tasked with keeping us safe and healthy.

Read about how the Internet of Things is helping public safety protect us better in my April column in Connected World Magazine, which is available in print starting April 1.  The article will be hyperlinked here once it is posted to CWM’s archives sometime around June 1st.
