Building the Internet of Things: GigaOm Structure Connect, San Francisco, October 21-22, 2014

bluetooth, connected devices, context aware, embedded, GigaOm, Internet of Things, ubiquitous computing, mobile health, quantified selfJoin me at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center for GigaOm’s Structure Connect 2014, two days dedicated to “Building the Internet of Things.”  The conference, which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday October 21 and 22, will explore how connecting our homes and business to the internet will disrupt businesses, bring ease to our daily lives, and improve efficiency.  In GigaOm’s words, these developments will “usher in an era of disruption not seen since the beginning of the web. “

I’m scheduling individual briefings with GigaOm clients during the conference, so if you’re a GigaOm Research client, contact your research coordinator if you would like to meet with me.   My turn at the podium comes with Wednesday’s 11:35 am Mapping Session titled “Beyond Fitbit – The Future of Quantified Self Devices and Platforms.”

I’ll also be at the show both days, so if you’ll be there — look me up!  I hope to see you there.
