The cellular trade show formerly known as “CTIA Enterprise and Applications” — MobileCON 2012 — is coming up October 9-11 in San Diego. The show appears to be mostly the same as its forebears, named alternately “CTIA Enterprise and IT,” “CTIA Entertainment and IT,” and “CTIA Wireless IT.”
I’ll be in San Diego, mostly at the Convention Center and nearby environs, from Monday, October 8 through Thursday, October 11. If you’d like to arrange a meet while I’m there, please contact me via the contact form on this site. Here’s a preview of the show:
All attendees are eligible to attend formal Keynote sessions and on-exhibit-floor “Bit Talks” (mobile strategy case studies) and Thought Leadership Stages (interactive learning sessions). Boardroom Sessions featuring leading mobile and enterprise executives and on-show-floor networking receptions continue from prior shows. That’s on top of the Exhibit Hall, and all of those exhibitor-hosted parties.
The day before the show, on October 8, CTIA offers the “APP-Solutely Enterprise” workshop, a half-day interactive session where enterprise IT types and app developers explore how to build compelling, integrated enterprise apps. A variety of partner workshops are also available the day before, including two M2M workshops, BYOD (Bring your own device) and unified enterprise communications.
In addition, Monday night the 8th sees the fourth annual Wireless Hall of Fame Banquet, presented by the Wireless History Foundation. This is the best top-level networking event at MobileCon — don’t miss it. Click here for more details.
